Here, you’ll find a beautiful balance of discovery, connection, and a little touch of magic.

The Habitat Penang Hill’s Starlight Camping experience invites you to reconnect with nature in one of Malaysia’s most pristine outdoor settings. Designed for both first-time campers and seasoned adventurers, this guided 2D/1N journey includes a daytime guided walk, sunset and sunrise viewing, an After Dark Night Walk, and ends with a thrilling 80m zipline adventure! Whether you’re seeking tranquility, excitement, or simply a breath of fresh air, this unforgettable getaway promises moments that will stay with you long after you leave. 

A Journey Through the Rainforest 

Before the stars take center stage, campers will embark on a Guided Walk tour through the ancient trails of The Habitat. Discover and learn fascinating insights of the vibrant life that calls this rainforest home. From towering centuries-old trees to hidden wildlife, this Guided Walk experience is a treat for wild-hearted wanderers! It’s a moment to slow down, tune in, and truly appreciate the richness of this living ecosystem. 

Explore the Rainforest’s Hidden Nocturnal World

As night falls, step beyond the comforts of your tent and into the mysterious world of the rainforest after dark. Guided only by soft lantern light, the After Dark Night Walk unveils the hidden life of nocturnal creatures and bioluminescent fungi. Listen to the rustling leaves, distant calls, and marvel at the rainforest’s secret nighttime symphony — a magical experience that few get to witness. 

Exclusive Sky-Gazing Moments

As daylight fades, be treated to a breathtaking sunset from Curtis Crest, the highest publicly accessible viewpoint on Penang Hill. With panoramic views stretching across the treetops to the distant horizon, this golden-hour moment offers a peaceful transition into the night.

At dawn, awaken to a serene rainforest sunrise, where the misty canopy stirs to life with the first light of day. These golden hours, framed by nature’s beauty, create peaceful bookends to your Starlight Camping journey. 

The Thrill of the Treetops Finale

Begin the next morning with a Wim Hof-inspired guided breathing session to invigorate your senses, before ending your adventure with an exhilarating 80-meter ride across the Honeymoon Zipline. Glide through the lush rainforest canopy of the UNESCO Penang Hill Biosphere Reserve, an adrenaline rush and an unforgettable finale to your wilderness retreat. 

Things to Note:  

• Meeting Time & Point: 02:00 PM at The Habitat Entrance. Please be punctual. Do factor in congestion at the Penang Hill lower station as part of your time planning.  
• Travel light and bring only essentials for a comfortable camping experience. 
• Bring your own water bottle to stay hydrated! Water stations are available throughout the park.  
• Access to electricity sockets are available at The Andaman Tents.  
• Multi-storey parking (No special rate) is available at Penang Hill Lower Station 
• Guests with any medical condition are advised to bring necessary medication as a precautionary measure.  
• Campsite is located 800m above sea level, and temperatures may drop due to weather conditions. 
• Covered shoes are required for participation in the zipline activity.  
• Special dietary requests can be accommodated with advance notice.  
• Smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes are strictly prohibited throughout the experience.

** Rate quoted is inclusive of The Habitat’s Standard Entrance Pass 
** Rate quoted is not inclusive of Penang Hill Funicular Train Ticket 
** Child admission applies to individuals aged 4 to 12 years old while children below 3 years old are entitled to free admission; however, meals will not be provided.
