Experiences
Our Guided Walk experience at The Habitat Penang Hill offers an immersive experience into the rich biodiversity of the Penang Hill rainforest. Led by our expert naturalists, this walk takes visitors along well-maintained trails, providing fascinating insights into the unique flora and fauna that call this rainforest home. Along your walk, guides share interesting ecological facts and highlight the cultural significance of certain species to the local community.
Participants can enjoy elevated walkways with stunning views of the forest canopy and explore The Habitat’s key attractions, including the Langur Way Canopy Bridge—the longest two-span ribbon bridge—and Curtis Crest Tree Top Walk, the highest viewing platform in Penang.

The Flight of the Colugo Zipline is an exhilarating adventure course. Inspired by the Sunda Colugo, also known as the Malayan Flying Lemur, this experience offers a thrilling way to admire the rainforest from an aerial perspective. Glide from tree to tree, just like the Colugo, while soaking in the breathtaking natural surroundings.
Our trained Rangers will guide and ensure your safety throughout the journey, offering nature insights along the way to deepen your appreciation of this unique ecosystem.
The Forest Bathing experience is a guided nature-based therapy session designed to awaken all five senses—sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste—allowing participants to deeply connect with the natural world. Led by experienced instructors, the session includes mindful breathing exercises, meditation, and grounding (earthing) techniques, concluding with a relaxing tea tasting.
Available every weekend at 10:30AM

Duration: 2.5 hours

• A minimum of 2 and a maximum of 8 participants are required per session (shared group).

Experience deep relaxation with Sound Healing amidst the UNESCO Penang Hill Biosphere Reserve. Surrounded by the serene rainforest, Tibetan singing bowls create soothing vibrations that harmonize the body, mind, and spirit. This session promotes calm, eases tension, and leaves you feeling rebalanced and rejuvenated in nature’s peaceful embrace.

• For individuals 16 and above.
• Bring a yoga mat and a towel for comfort during the session.
• Water stations are available, so bring your own bottle to stay hydrated.

Participate in our CSR Tree Planting at The Habitat Penang Hill, where we offer an unparalleled programme designed to foster team building while making a significant impact on the environment. Our carefully curated programmes provide companies with a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful conservation efforts amidst the breathtaking beauty of the UNESCO Penang Hill Biosphere Reserve.
Option 1 focuses on planting vetiver plants for soil erosion control, helping to stabilise landslide-prone areas. This requires at least 6 weeks’ notice for preparation and sourcing.
Option 2 involves planting butterfly-attracting plants at the Butterfly Bank to support native butterfly conservation. Participants sponsor and plant nectar and host plants to enhance butterfly populations.
Both options include a Penang Hill Funicular Train ride, a guided walk, a short educational presentation, and the option to have refreshments available. Ideal for groups of 15 or more, the programme runs for 2.5–3 hours.
