Join in on a guided session exploring the most tranquil sections of The Habitat Penang Hill. Kick back and let nature do the rest. The term Shinrin-yoku translates to “taking in the forest atmosphere” or “forest bathing”, a practice that involves immersing oneself in nature.

Forest bathing originated in Japan in the 1980s as a response to the growing stress and anxiety of modern life, drawing on the ancient Japanese culture’s recognition of nature’s healing and restorative powers.

Research has shown that spending time in nature and breathing in the forest air can have numerous positive effects on one’s health, including reduced stress levels, improved immune function, better sleep quality, reduced inflammation in the body, and improved cognitive function such as focus, creativity, and problem solving abilities.
