Daily Experiences
Discover the Secrets of the Rainforest
Join our Naturalist on a Nature Wonders mini guided journey through The Habitat’s pristine rainforest. Wander along the trail, across the Langur Way Canopy Walk and up to the Curtis Crest Tree Top Walk, as you uncover fascinating facts about the unique flora and fauna that thrive here. Along the way, learn about the history of Penang Hill and its role in rainforest conservation. Perfect for guests of all ages looking to add a little more meaning to their visit.
Price: RM18/ per pax (Add-on to Standard Entrance Pass)
Duration: 45 minutes
This experience is available daily on a walk-in basis from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Check for available slots upon arrival at The Habitat Ticketing Counter.
Experience the Rainforest After Dark
Enjoy an exciting Evening Walk to witness a spectacular sunset from the Curtis Crest Tree Top Walk – Penang’s highest accessible viewing point – before venturing into the rainforest at twilight. Guided by our Naturalist, you’ll explore the forest’s nocturnal world and encounter creatures of the night. Discover the magic of biofluorescent plants and glowing fungi with our special UV light. This unique experience blends science, wonder, and awe-inspiring views.
Price: RM18/ per pax (Required add-on to Standard Entrance Pass for visitors after 5.30PM onwards)
Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours (Exit by 9:00 PM)
This experience is available daily on a walk-in basis from 5:30 PM onwards (last entry at 6:30 PM). Check for available slots upon arrival at The Habitat Ticketing Counter.

Experience deep relaxation through our Sound Healing session, a meditative journey using Tibetan singing bowls and therapeutic sound frequencies whilst surrounded by the rainforest canopy. Participate in our CSR Tree Planting at The Habitat Penang Hill, where we offer an unparalleled programme designed to foster team building while making a significant impact on the environment. Our carefully curated programmes provide companies with a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful conservation efforts amidst the breathtaking beauty of the UNESCO Penang Hill Biosphere Reserve.
Option 1 focuses on planting vetiver plants for soil erosion control, helping to stabilise landslide-prone areas. This requires at least 6 weeks’ notice for preparation and sourcing.
Option 2 involves planting butterfly-attracting plants at the Butterfly Bank to support native butterfly conservation. Participants sponsor and plant nectar and host plants to enhance butterfly populations.
Both options include a Penang Hill Funicular Train ride, a guided walk, a short educational presentation, and the option to have refreshments available. Ideal for groups of 15 or more, the programme runs for 2.5–3 hours.

The Stable Café
Located at our ticketing counter, this charming café is a nod to Penang Hill’s colonial past, housed in a restored 1800s horse stable. This cozy spot is perfect for early morning hikers looking to enjoy a warm cup of coffee or a light snack before their next adventure.
The Habitat Café
At the end of your trail, unwind at a tranquil plant-based eatery nestled at our exit point. Here, visitors can savour wholesome meals and refreshing beverages while soaking in the peaceful surroundings of the rainforest.
Both cafés are open to the public with dine-in options available, no entrance ticket required. So come for the views, stay for the brews!
