1. What is The Habitat Penang Hill?

The Habitat Penang Hill is a B Corp Certified, award-winning rainforest discovery centre set atop the storied Penang Hill, the gateway to the UNESCO Penang Hill Biosphere Reserve. Home to the iconic Langur Way Canopy Walk and Curtis Crest Tree Top Walk, our Park is a treasure trove of biodiversity, with over 2,500 unique species calling this ancient rainforest home.

2. What are the opening hours of The Habitat Penang Hill?

The Habitat Penang Hill is open daily from 9:00am to 9:00pm, last entry at 6:30pm, exit by 9pm.

3. How do I get to The Habitat Penang Hill?

Our park is located atop Penang Hill. To get to The Habitat Penang Hill, you can take the funicular train from the lower station at the Penang Hill Railway Station. Please note that train waiting times vary based on the time of the year and guests are advised to plan accordingly.

Alternatively, you may opt to take a private jeep up to Penang Hill from the Penang Botanical Gardens. To book or for more information, please call or Whatsapp +6012 454 1255.

4. Are there any age restrictions for visiting The Habitat Penang Hill?

There are no age restrictions for visiting The Habitat Penang Hill. However, as our park requires guests to walk and climb stairs along our 1.6km trail, it is advisable that guests are physically fit to undertake the experience.

5. What are the activities available at The Habitat Penang Hill?

We also offer the Sunset Walk experience – a free and easy stroll through our park, culminating in a sunset viewing session atop Curtis Crest Tree Top Walk, the highest accessible viewing platform in Penang.

7. Can I bring food and drinks to The Habitat Penang Hill?

Please refrain from bringing outside food and drinks to our park. We have water dispensers along our park trail so do bring along a water bottle! We also have Kommune on The Hill, which features a rainforest inspired café that offers plant based and planet friendly F&B!

8. Is there a dress code for visiting The Habitat Penang Hill?

There is no specific dress code for visiting The Habitat Penang Hill but we recommend that you dress in comfortable and appropriate clothing and footwear for outdoor activities.

9. Are there any accommodation options at The Habitat Penang Hill?

We’re sorry but there are no accommodation options at The Habitat Penang Hill. However, there are a few accommodation options up on Penang Hill.

10. Is The Habitat Penang Hill wheelchair accessible?
